Postdoctoral Positions in RNA Biology and Neurodegeneration – Apply now!

Join Our Team: Postdoctoral Positions Available in RNA Regulation and Neurodegeneration Research (Chekulaeva lab, Berlin)

We are seeking two highly motivated postdoctoral researchers to join our dynamic team focused on studying RNA regulation in neurodegeneration. Axonal loss is the earliest indicator of degeneration in various disorders, and our goal is to uncover the mechanisms behind axonal vulnerability. Our research specifically targets two motor neuron disorders: Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT).

About the Projects: You will be working with human-induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs)-based models of neurodegeneration, utilizing cutting-edge systems biology and imaging techniques, as well as compartmentalized neuronal cultures. This research will build upon our lab’s existing work (Loedige et al. Molecular Cell 2023; Mendonsa et al. Nature Neuroscience 2023; Mendonsa et al. NAR 2021; Ludwik et al. Methods 2019; Zappulo et al. Nature Comm 2017). For more information on our research, please visit our website: www.chekulaevalab.org

Ideal Candidates: We are looking for highly motivated researchers with experience in molecular biology techniques. Previous expertise in RNA biology, hiPSC culture, and neurodegeneration is advantageous.

How to Apply: To apply, please send your motivation letter and CV, including contact information for at least two referees, as a single PDF file to marina(at)chekulaevalab.org. We look forward to receiving your application!
